Abby Lane’s puppies will be six weeks old on Friday. Amazingly we still have some of these precious little fluff balls available to go to their new homes beginning September 30th. I was cleaning their puppy kennel after they ate this morning, and those were the tightest little bellies. They were so funny. Their tight tummies made it hard for me to pick them up to move them to clean.
We had a cool early morning this morning, and I was proud that I remembered to throw my Olympus on the RTV before heading down to the nursery. Penney was so ready to hit the grass; I know she heard me pull up and was waiting at the door to dart out asap. Penney is Abby Lane’s mother, and Penney’s litter of nine (six females and three males) is nineteen days old and starting to bound around in the nursery stall with their eyes open and their little ears flopping. They squeal with anticipation as soon as they are aware that Mama is back in the house! When they all latch on to Mama those little tails start quivering, and all I can hear is slurping and grunting while they jockey for the best position. We will be starting to wean those precious babies next week.
Luke is the sire of Penney Lane’s litter and they range in color from almost white to a pretty golden yellow. We have both male and female available from this litter, and they will be heading to their new homes October 21st.
